Neil Cownie Architect 123 House Photography
ROLE

DATE
2022-2023
123 House, designed by WA architect Neil Cownie, is home to a retired couple who ran an Ampol petrol station on the site for over thirty years. The building features elements that reference the former business, such as concrete projections inspired by the Ampol logo, coloured glass evoking petrol and engine oil, and a balustrade like car wheel spokes. I photographed the house on multiple occasions, focusing on these distinctive details. The images were featured in publications such as Wallpaper*, Dezeen and Habitus Living.
