Vólta is my first solo photography exhibition, exploring beauty and intrigue in the everyday. Rooted in my Greek heritage, the title – meaning ‘walk’ or ‘stroll’ – reflects my approach: wandering Perth’s suburbs in search of striking compositions within the ordinary. Using a telephoto perspective, I reframe familiar scenes into graphic abstractions, inviting viewers to imagine the wider context beyond the frame. Spanning 12 years of work on 35mm and medium format film, the series blends influences from landscape photography, the New Topographic movement and my background in graphic design. In addition, I designed the exhibition branding and collateral.
